About Me

From rewinding VHS tapes to leading creative teams, I’ve always worn a lot of hats. Today, I’m a Creative Director, designer, and team-builder shaped by an agency upbringing—fast-paced, high-volume, and built on solving real problems across brands big and small. I lead teams through ambiguity, create space for designers to do their best work, and bring that range to every project—helping businesses stand out, brands find their voice, and designers create work their parents would proudly hang on the fridge. I live in sunny Sacramento, CA with my wife Morgan, our daughter Kennedy, our Dalmatian Erwin, and our charmingly dramatic cat, Mika.

Creative Director

2022 - Current

Served as the creative and operational lead across the entire studio including major accounts such as OpenText, P&G, and Sony, as well as high-growth startups like Pancho’s and Florax. Drove all phases of brand development—strategy, naming, identity, packaging, and product design—ensuring both execution and team performance. Notably, Pancho’s saw a 200% distribution increase following the rebrand my team produced.

2021 - 2022

Led creative teams in translating client needs into strategic brand solutions for emerging and legacy brands. Managed workloads and brief development while overseeing brand identity, positioning, and concept execution—including product design, campaigns, prototyping, copywriting, and pitch / presentation delivery.

Spire

Co-Founder & Director of Development

2015 - 2021

Co-founded and served as Director of Development at Spire, leading organizational growth, partnerships, and sponsorships. Oversaw member and student engagement programs, including the Student Ambassadors initiative and academic/business outreach. Directed high-impact events with 150+ attendees and speakers from Google, Meta, and Disney.

Led a cross-functional team of 8+ designers, strategists, and copywriters. Oversaw brand strategy, identity development, and creative briefs while managing client presentations, workload delegation, and end-to-end concept execution—including product design, campaigns, prototyping, copywriting, and research.

Adjunct Professor of Design

2015 - 2019

Taught brand-centered design curriculum at Azusa Pacific University, including Senior Thesis, Design Theory, and UI/UX courses. Led strategy workshops and bootcamps, contributing to an 85% student job placement rate.

Contributed to brand identity and positioning projects, supporting concept development and client management. Created editorial design, campaign concepts, and presentations for clients including Scripps College, The Jean Autry Museum, and Occidental College—whose campaign surpassed fundraising goals by raising $252M across four initiatives.

Graphic Designer

2016 - 2017

Directed and contributed to identity, packaging, product, and marketing design for Ondigo and affiliate partners, including Boost Mobile and Sprint. Oversaw the full launch of Boost Mobile’s accessory line, delivering a tailored product catalog aligned with customer needs and budget.

Contributed to experiential, event, and branding design for high-profile activations, including Neiman Marcus at SXSW, Activision’s E3 2014 presence, and the Toyota Green Initiative. Worked across concepting, print, interior, and presentation design to create immersive, on-brand experiences for national campaigns.
